The First Due FIREFIGHTER 1500 Series Helmets have been designed to give superior
head safety protection with the comfort and wear ability that has always distinguished
the First Due Firefighter helmet line. These helmets offer a well balanced and
lightweight system which provides maximum protection for the user. The special
design prevents aerodynamic lifting of the helmet when exposed to speeds as
high as seventy miles per hour.
These models meet or exceed the performance criteria of NFPA 1971 helmet Standard.
The shells are made of high performance thermoplastic and have 3M reflective
1x4 strips. The eye protection is a 4.5" faceshield made of ML4831 Lexan
Polypthalate with a special scratch resistant coating. The liner is fully adjustable
to size 8. The energy impact liner is closed cell Armaflex rubber. The ear and
neck protector is Nomex lined with fire retardant cotton and can be detachable
if specified. The chinstrap is a standard post-man slide and made of Nomex material.
Equipped with adjustable ratchet headband. The helmets comply with the following
standards: NFPA 1971; NFPCA (77); ANSI Z89 Class D; CAL-OSHA T8-3403 (88); US
OSHA 29CFR 1910.156(87). Total weight: 36.5 ounces.
